Augusto Farfus (BMW M4 DTM): “It was a very good day of testing, for me. We were able to keep on improving the car in many areas. Nonetheless, it’s far too early to draw any conclusions regarding the competitiveness and possible results in the season opener at Hockenheim. Everybody is executing their own, individual programmes. Therefore, comparing the performances of teams and manufacturers is extremely difficult. But I feel really confident, nevertheless. The BMW M4 DTM delivered in truly competitive style, in the Hockenheim test so far. We definitely are on the right track. I already am looking forward to the season kick-off on 04th May.”

Mike Rockenfeller (Audi RS 5 DTM): “I wasn’t too happy at Budapest but today, things ran better. We learned a lot but there still is a lot of work waiting for us. Timo (Scheider) and I will try to make the best possible use of the two final days of testing prior to the season kick-off.”

It suits me really well and I fell that I can be faster than in 2013. I just can’t wait for the 2014 season and the season opener in about three weeks. I love Hockenheim. It’s my European home circuit. Here, I completed more laps than anywhere else and secured some of my best results to date. So let the racing begin!”

За 8 дней тестов (4 в Венгрии и 4 в Германии) пилоты BMW устанавливали лучшее время круга трижды, Audi и Mercedes - по два раза.
Mike Rockenfeller (Audi RS 5 DTM): “ I’m curious to see where we will be standing when everybody will put their cards on the table.” - эта фраза Роки о "картах на столе" в целом отражает суть попутной подоплёки тестов как тактической игры . Игра идёт постоянно, начиная с тестов и продолжаясь на тренировках перед каждым этапом. Это к тому, что все эти времена на тестах - безусловно, ориентир. И безусловно не на 100% реальное положение дел. Поэтому вдвойне интересен первый этап - сравнить, что было реальным, а что - игрой или даже блефом.
